Even if you've been riding for some time, there's always something new to learn. Increasing numbers of seasoned riders are flocking to the half-day Experienced RiderCourse to hone their skills and fine-tune the mental skills needed for survival in traffic.
You'll discuss with your peers how to balance the mental and physical aspects of safe riding, manage risk, increase visibility and optimize your lane position. The 'Experienced RiderCourse ' also covers protective gear, rider responsibility, motorcycle inspection and care, the effects of alcohol and other drugs on riding, and includes an optional skill evaluation and knowledge test.
Using your own motorcycle, you'll put into practice the techniques of managing traction, stopping quickly, cornering and swerving.
The ERC Suite Skills Practice RiderCourse is designed for riders who have successfully completed the BRC or who possess basic operational skills. Its features are:
Riders may use a training motorcycle or their own safe, street-ready motorcycle (proof of insurance will be checked).

There is no knowledge or skill test.

No passengers are permitted
Prerequisites:

Successfully competed a Basic RiderCourse (BRC); or
-
Have sufficient on-road experience and skill to be able to perform basic maneuvering and handling skills such as maintaining balance, demonstrating smooth clutch-throttle control, brake usage and turning procedures; AND
-
Must successfully achieve the objectives of Exercise 1, Control at Low Speed, and must successfully achieve the objectives of subsequent exercises to continue.
The ERC Suite License Waiver RiderCourse is designed for riders who as yet do not possess a state motorcycle license endorsement. Its features are:

A state may use this as a license waiver course for experienced riders with permits.

Riders may use a training motorcycle or their own safe, street-ready motorcycle(proof of insurance will be checked).

Successful completion of a knowledge test and skill test is required.
Prerequisites:

Must possess a current, valid motorcycle permit.

Must be physically capable of riding a motorcycle to the training site; AND
-
Must successfully achieve the objectives of Exercise 1, Control at Low Speed, and must successfully achieve the objectives of subsequent exercises to continue.
The ERC Suite Skills RiderCourse is designed for riders who are already licensed and frequently ride. Students may repeat the course periodically to keep skills and perceptions about safety fresh. Its features are:

Riders must provide their own safe, street-ready motorcycle(proof of insurance will be checked).

The knowledge test and skill test may be optional

Passengers may participate.
Prerequisites:

Must possess a current, valid motorcycle permit.

Any passenger participating in the course must not affect the safety and learning for other participants in the program.
